love this! it was also interesting how the exploitation and dehumanization of mickey came into play with this added existential dread. how most people’s fear of death comes from ceasing to exist, not accomplishing anything and being forgotten but mickey is someone that dies and is resurrected all the time, while also finishing so many impossible tasks in his multiple lives and yet aside from nasha, he is still treated like a slab of meat and not an actual person. 😭😭 like they really put him through it

you're so right! this aspect made me really sad for mickey because he did so many things that if the average human did, they would probably be talked about widely, but he was just discarded and then brought back to life to be discarded again

I find it interesting how the meaning of life is so often tied to death or even lack of death. It's whether we die, or don't, what happens when we do, and how we should handle it all.

When I was about 8-10 I asked my mother what does it feel like to die. She was very worried about me lol, but I was just curious.
