definitely, it feels much easier to change in the middle of the year. thank you for reading this! hahah fellow older sisters have to stick together (and annoy their brothers) :p
I agree. June is also a fresh start for me, too. I am finally beginning to mature by breaking out of my old, toxic habits and reevaluating a few things about myself and my relationships.
This was a nice and uplifting read. I wish the best for you in your journey as well.
I'm a new subscriber, but I read some of your older posts and I just want to say that I really admire your writing.
thank you for supporting my work, this means a lot to me!!!! breaking out of the old toxic ways is a very good sign to a new beginning. gosh thank you again for the support :)
I hope the wind touches your skin in ways that it takes away some of the pollutants that have over time deposited...
I think it's a positive sign that you feel anger. The fact that you feel angry and frustrated... you're still feeling... You're not closed, or detached...
It's just that everytime the boiling water rises, you again turn it to low flame... What I want to say is... the stove is not off... you're still feeling... you're stirring, and popping bubbles... and, the whole of you is not evaporated... even if you think you do... remember you're gonna pour back anyways...
You're still able of feeling attachment... you're still able to care about you... in ways that you feel...
I hope the June starts fresh, and you breathe some of that freshness into you :) 🍃
Honestly I never thought about how we always expect to do more after a long and hard semester at college or at anything else. But when we get the opportunity it’s always the opposite, our body’s want and demand rest but somehow most of us don’t know how to rest properly or feel guilt for doing it. To all of us who always want to do more in our rest days, I hope we get some inner work done instead.
“However, it is pretty odd how humans romanticise doing intense work after just doing something intense.”
such a good point! I hope June is replenishing for you Tunmise 🫶
thank you for the support ruby!!!!!! i hope you rest in this cold june as well 🫶🏾💝❄️
June is the middle of the month.
It is the perfect time to change, since it doesn't have the pressure of starting new year.
I loved your essay! ♡ I laughed at the part about annoying your brother because as an older sister, I do that too :3
